I cursed myself quite a bit when I realized that I hadn't written a Death Metal band from the USA for a long time. It is necessary to keep the radar active on new products coming out of a country where the best examples of this genre are produced. This time, rather than the suggestions in the mail box, I went on a discovery myself and found this good album. It's great that something is still being produced somewhere that can excite Metal fans like me!
Sacrilegion is a Death Metal band from the USA-Utah region. The band is active on the Metal scene since 2018, band's first work was the demo "The Pest Dialect" released in 2018. Consisting of four tracks and 16:41 minutes long, this recording was a promising step for the band in the Underground since. The band's first full-length album "From Which Nightmares Crawl" was finally released on December 9 on Chaos Records after four years. The album has a total of 10 tracks and is 44:08 minutes long.
"A Terrible Pilgrimage to Seek the Nighted Throne" is opening the album, despite its suspiciously long duration, immediately dispels worries. Incantation-eque and Benediction-driven riffs reinforce the track's character and are engaging enough for an opening track. Despite the long duration of the song, the track contains enough riffs. In addition to the Modern Death Metal attitude throughout the album, I have to say that there is a very good blend of Morbid Angel style dark riffs that strengthens the dark atmosphere of the album. "Puritanical Dementia" is like a nerve bomb that strength the album's strong opening. You need to have a calm tension to remove the pure Death Metal effect of this track. Make sure it takes over your whole blood circulation. And the third track is "Tainting the Sky With Red". Try listening to this piece with your eyes closed. You will find yourself in the middle of a 3:29 minute Zombie walk. With this track, the album continues to keep its tempo at a high level without slowing down. Finely crafted Death Metal riffs, unexpected sudden changes, and Tech Death Metal touches are the reasons why the track is among my favorites on this album. Another prominent song is on the album, "Legacy of the Impaler", the song opens the door to a universe of chaos from the first ist second of the song. The song has a powerful sound that completely captures the listening area, wherever you are listening. It will be a piece that will definitely catch the attention of Death Metal fans.
Other great stations like "From Which Nightmares Crawl", "From Which Nightmares Crawl", "Creaking Shadows" are just a few of the other songs that will give you a chance to fill your lungs with Death Metal. On the album, "Are there any bad details that bring down this wonderful atmosphere?" I don't have an answer to the question. The only worrying detail is the length of the album, although the album is a good Death Metal work, I can say that 44 minutes is a length that can bore even the fans of this genre.
I really liked the Production of the album, Connor Carlson led the whole process well. The dominance of each of the members on the instruments immediately draws attention, which I think is one of the reasons for the high level of recording quality. The recording of the album was a long process in which more than one address was visited. Vocals were recorded at Sworn Studios in Fall 2021, drums were also recorded at The Boar's Nest in Fall 2021, and guitar and bass were recorded by guitarist Geronimo Santa Cruz in Spring-Summer 2021. Finally, mixing, mastering and re-amped were done by Damian Herring at Subterranean Watchtower Studios in the Fall-Winter 2022 period, which I think is the most important move that gives the album its character and atmosphere. Damian Herring's career is present in the quality work he has done with bands such as Blood Incantation and Horrified. I think the band went to the right address at the last and most important stage of the recording.
First of all, Sacrilegion emerged as a project in which Carlson wanted to perform all the instruments and vocals himself, and the project was shelved after the "The Pest Dialect" demo released in 2018. But as time progressed, with the participation of Geronimo Santa Cruz in 2019, followed by Alex Seolas and Ashton J. Childs in 2020, the band's line-up took its final form and Sacrilegion is still on its way with this line-up. I think Carlson made a very good decision to lead the band's career in this direction and I think the result is fantastic. This album will fill you with summer heat in the freezing atmosphere of cold winter. Recommended for Death Metal fans. 8,5/10

Uzun süredir USA dolaylarından bir Death Metal grubunu yazmadığımı fark ettiğimde kendime oldukça küfür ettim. Bu turun en iyi örneklerinin üretildiği bir ülkeden çıkan yeni ürünler üzerinde radarı aktif tutmak gerekir. Bu sefer mailboxa düşen önerilerden ziyade kendim bir keşfe çıktım ve bu iyi albümü buldum. Hala bir yerlerde insani heyecanlandırabilecek bir şeylerin üretilior olması harika!
Sacrilegion USA Utah bölgesinden bir Death Metal grubu. 2018 yılından bu yana Metal sahnesinde aktif olan grubun ilk çalışması 2018 yılında piyasaya çıkan "The Pest Dialect" demosu idi. Albümde açılışı yapan "A Terrible Pilgrimage to Seek the Nighted Throne" şüphe uyandıran uzun süresine rağmen zaman kaybetmeden endişeleri yok ediyor. İnçantatıon'ı andıran ve Benediction destekli riffler parçanın karakterini güçlendiriyor ve bir açılış parçası için yeterince ilgi çekici. Şarkının uzun süresine rağmen parça içinde yeterince riff barındırıyor.
