The band we will focus on now is Teratoma, which has a 30-year history and is deeply ingrained in Barcelona's Underground Metal history. The band entered the metal scene in 93 under the name of Suffering. The team, which used this name until 96, then the Death Metal troops released their first demo "...From Inside" under the name Teratoma. After a delay of about four years, the band's first full-length album "The Terato-Genus Reborn" was released. And after that a long silence for the band. Teratoma's second full-lenght album "Overtures of the Flesh '' was released in 2019 by Base Records Production. In this 19 years of silence; the band has the "Rehearsal Demo 2016" in 2016 and "In the Inside... Reborn the Flesh '' EP in 2017 released. This is how the careers of some bands progress, no matter what country they are from. Sometimes things don't go as planned and the band has to take a long break. And groups like Teratoma don't give up, they get back together after long years of silence and continue to spread the Death Metal virus. Fortunately Teratoma broke this silence in 2019 and made a great comeback with "Overtures of the Flesh". The band's association with Base Record Production still continues and their third full-length album "Chaosmakers" will be released on October 17th.
Now let's come to the music; If you like Benediction, Bolt Thrower or Grave-style Death Metal, Teratoma is exactly for you. "The Upcoming End" is a great opening piece. a short intro with a phone call and the bass guitar section that heralds the killer first riffs that follow. The first riffs that followed and the explosion that came with Titopsy's Old School brutal vocal style from the 90s that did not lose its energy. A truly magnificent opening. An aggressive energy dominates the entire album, and the tempo never drops. Medium tempo parts that we are used to in Old School Death Metal bands appear from time to time. Very ideal for short breaks and breakdown headbang breaks; but these sections do not dominate all the songs. Songs begin and end like a shelling. Juanjo and Juanma are such a good duo, I don't know who do mostly riffs writing; but they did a great job. Sudden changes and transitions in riffs are beautiful. It reminded me of the Cannibal Corps at times. "Chaosmakers", which is the title of the album, is a great example of this.
I do not know when and by whom the recording was made; but I have to say you did a great job. The Death Metal atmosphere of the 90s is passed on to the listener, I think this will be one of the most striking details of this album. Finally, I want to say a few words about Artwork. I like it, it's definitely not bad; but the killer riffs call for such a little bit more Gore Artwork.
This album will definitely satisfy a Death Metal fan. You must try it guys, the tracks will be in your playlist for a long time.

Simdi mercek altina yatiracagimiz grup 30 yıllık bir geçmişe sahip Barcelona'nın Underground Metal tarihinin derinlerine islemis Teratoma. Grup 93 yilinda Metal sahnesine Suffering ismiyle adim atiyor. 96 ya kadar bu ismi kullanan ekip, ilk demolari "...From Inside"i Teratoma ismiyle yayinliyorlar. Dört sene gibi bir rötarin ardindan grubun ilk uzun zamanli albümü "The Terato-Genus Reborn" piyasaya çıkıyor. Ve bundan sonrasi grup icin uzun bir sessizlik. Teratoma'nin ikinci tam zamanli albümü "Overtures of the Flesh" 2019 yilinda Base Records Production etiketiyle yayinlandi. Aradan gecen bu 19 senelik sessizlikte; 2016 yılında yayınlanan "Rehearsal Demo 2016" ve 2017'de yayınlanan "In the Inside... Reborn the Flesh" EP'si var. Bazi gruplarin kariyerleri böyle ilerliyor, hangi ülkeden oldugu fark etmez. Bazen işler istendiği gibi gitmez ver grup uzun süre ara vermek zorunda kalir. Ve Teratoma gibi gruplar pes etmiyor, sessiz geçen uzun yillarin ardindan tekrar bir araya gelip Metal virüsünü yaymaya devam ediyorlar. Neyse ki Teratoma bu sessizligi 2019 yilinda bozdu ve "Overtures of the Flesh" ile muhteşem bir dönüş yaptı. Grubun Base Record Production ile olan birlikteliği hala devam ediyor ve 17 Ekimde üçüncü tam zamanli albüm "Chaosmakers" piyasaya çıkacak.
Simdi müzige gelelim; Benediction, Bolt Thrower ya da Grave tarzi Death Metal seviyorsaniz Teratoma tam size göre. The Upcoming End harika bir acilis parcasi. bir telefon görüşmesinin geçtiği kısa bir intro ve ardindan gelen öldürücü ilk rifflerin habercisi bass gitar bölümü. hemen ardindan gelen ilk riffler ve Titopsy'nin 90 lardan gelen enerjisini kaybetmemiş Old School brutal vokal tarzı ile beraber gelen patlama. Tam anlamıyla muhtesem bir acilis. Albümün tamamına agresif bir enerji hakim, tempo hic düşmüyor. Old School Death Metal gruplarından alisik oldugumuz orta tempo bölümler zaman zaman karsimiza cikiyor. Kısa molalar ve breakdown headbang molasi icin oldukca ideal; ama bu bölümler parcalarin tamamina hakim degil. Sarkilar yaylim atesi gibi basliyor ve bitiyor. Juanjo ve Juanma cok iyi bir ikili, rifflerin yazimi agirlikli olarak kimin omuzlarinda bilmiyorum; ama muhtesem bir is basarmislar. Rifflerdeki ani degisimler, gecisler cok güzel. Bana zaman zaman Cannibal Corps'u andirdi. Albümün adini tasiyan "Chaosmakers" buna harika bir örnek.
Kaydin ne zaman ve kimin tarafindan yapildigini bilmiyorum; ama cok iyi is basardigini söylemek zorundayim. 90larin Death Metal atmosferi dinleyiciye geciyor, bence bu albümün en cok dikkat ceken ayrıntılarından biri bu olacak. Son olarak bir kac kelime Artwork icin söyleyebilirim. Beğendim, kesinlikle kötü değil; ama biraz daha Gore olabilirdi bu albümün riffleri kesinlikle böyle bir Artworkü cagiriyor.
Bu albüm bir Death Metal fanini kesinlikle tatmin eder. Mutlaka deneyin, parcalar uzun süre playlistinizde olacaktir.
